How will people move in the nano city? Will pedestrians have priority? Will there be a state-of-the-art transit system? Will the automobile disappear?

Flying cars were promised at science fairs and world exhibitions over a century ago, yet they have not appeared to date. A little over a hundred years ago, Henry Ford and his Model T started a revolution in how we move cities, forcing cities to build vast highways and bi-ways. The automobile continues to be a dominant force in the politics and culture of the city.

Will nanotechnology and 'smart' transportation systems diminish the importance of the automobile, or will we continue to invest in optimizing the efficiency of cars?
